Wow the first year goes by so fast. I had been planning her birthday since she was 6 months old, but it still came way to fast. I choose to do a ladybug theme, because I think they are soooo cute and I love red and black. I had seen so many cute ideas on Etsy for birthday banners and I knew that it couldn’t be that hard to make, so I gave it a shot with my moms cricket machine and it was a success, time consuming yes, but way cheaper then buying one, so I liked that idea.
Red and black polka dot balloons
Happy birthday sign made with a cricket paper cutting machine
Red and black utensils, of course!
Cute as a bug bloomers, doesn’t get any cuter then that. I ironed on a patch and sewed a red bow on each side at the bottom.
Ladybug smash cake for the birthday girl!
Cut out lady bugs for decoration on the walls.
Happy Birthday Banner. I used the cricket to cut out the letters and glued them on their own rectangles of paper.
I did chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. I used red wrappers for the vanilla and black for the chocolate so they were easy to hand them out.
I put B’s and 1’s on the cupcakes in honor of the birthday girl.
“I am one” banner on the cupcake table with little ladybug erasers sprinkled all over, they were extras from the party favors.
Party favors on the thank you table I set up.Each little bucket had bubbles, pencil, lady bug eraser, ladybug tattoos and mini books.
I would love to see what kind of ladybug parties you have thrown!
